About

I've spent most of my career working where broadcasting and technology overlap. I started out in local commercial radio in 2013, presenting shows and building websites for multiple stations, before moving into television, where my work ranged from on-air branding to the websites and digital services that supported it.

These days, I'm Product Lead, Websites at Everyone TV, responsible for the websites and digital experiences behind Freely, Freeview and Freesat. It's a role that brings together much of what I've worked on over the years: understanding audiences, shaping digital products and working with talented teams to create experiences that people enjoy using.

My background is in design and development. I have a First Class Honours degree in Graphic Design and years of experience building websites and services using a range of web technologies. While I now spend more time setting product direction and leading delivery than writing code, that hands-on experience continues to shape how I solve problems and collaborate with developers, designers and other specialists.

Outside of Everyone TV, I'm an active contributor to the open-source community, particularly Drupal. I've worked with the Drupal Association to help reposition and rebrand Drupal for a wider audience, and I regularly host sessions and interview people from across the community. Open source has played an important role in my career, so it's rewarding to give something back to the projects and people behind it.

I'm also fascinated by the smaller details of technology and design that often go unnoticed, and I occasionally write about them on my blog. Away from screens, I love travelling and sharing little snapshots of the places I've visited, which you'll find here as postcards from my trips.
